Schedule for Activities

Bring your Spouse, Significant Other and family to Global Convention! We have planned a number of activities and excursions. There are full-day family-friendly activities before and after the Convention, and half-day activities for spouses and families to attend during the Convention days.

While you can certainly book activities at your leisure, we've prepared a schedule of planned activities that you can book below. Each activity will be facilitated by a travel guide from the US, along with a local Thai certified English-speaking guide.

Phi Phi Island 


Tuesday, October 30th 

Summary: Join us for a small group excursion to Thailand’s most beautiful island region.

Depart Bangkok early morning on Thursday, Oct. 31. Fly to Phuket, then transfer to Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort. Spend 3 nights and 4 days exploring the Islands. Return to Bangkok on Saturday night, Nov. 3.

Bangkok Market & Temple Tour


Tuesday, November 6th 

Highlights: Strolling through Thailand's largest flower & Fruit market at Pak Klong Talad, Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho and the Golden Mount (Wat Saket)

Timeframe: 08:00 - 12:00

Summary: Pick up at 8:00am from the Centara Grand Hotel - Bangkok and travel to the market at Pak Klong. Let's stroll through Thailand's largest flower & fruit market at Pak Klong Talad and explore local cut flowers, fruits and vegetables before we take a short walk to Wat Pho - a temple famous for its enormous gold plated Reclining Buddha image. Wat Pho is also known as the birthplace of Thai massage and became a center for knowledge and study about traditional Thai medicine.

After Wat Pho, we will depart by private minibus to Wat Sakat, also known as the Temple of the Golden Mount. As one of the oldest temples in Bangkok, it offers spectacular views of Rattanakosin Island.

Grand Palace Tour




Thursday, November 8th

Highlights: Canal tour by private long-tailed boat, Wat Arun, The Royal Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha

Timeframe: 08:00 - 13:00

Summary: Pick up at 8:00am by private minibus from the Centara Grand Hotel - Bangkok. From there we will depart to Sathorn Pier and board a private long-tailed boat for a journey along the Chao Phraya River. Along this journey, we will stop at Wat Arun, which is better known as the Temple of the Dawn.

After the tour of Wat Arun, we will explore the Klongs (canals) of Thonburi, once considered Bangkok's main arteries, which gave the city the name of "Venice of the East". We will then visit The Royal Grand Palace, home to the Royal Chapel, Wat Phra Kaeo and the Emerald Buddha, the most sacred image of Buddha in Thailand. After our tour of the Royal Grand Palace, we will return to the Centara Grand Hotel by private minibus. Return to Centara Grand Hotel at 1:00pm.

Ancient City World Heritage Tour


Monday, November 5th Excursion 

Highlights: Bang Pain Summer Palace, We Niwet Thamprawat, Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch

Timeframe: 08:00 - 17:00

Summary: Pick up at 8:00am from the Centara Grand Hotel. From there we will visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, a former summer retreat for the Royal Court. Our next stop is Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, which is the only Neo-Gothic monastery in Thailand. We will then depart to Anuthaya to explore and visit three ancient pagodas situated on the City Island in Ayutthaya's World Heritage Park. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Afterwards, we will depart to Wat Mahathat, which hosts the well-known image of the Head of the Buddha. Lastly, we will visit Wat Chaiwatthanaram, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. Return to the Centara Grand Hotel at 5:00pm.

Blue Elephant Cooking School

Wednesday, November 7th 

Highlights: Learn how to cook Thai dishes

Timeframe: 07:45 - 15:00

Summary: The Blue Elephant Cooking School welcomes us to a dazzling century old mansion where we will discover and experience the culinary wonders of Royal Thai Cuisine. The building's architecture is stunning, and the sunlit rooms give this cooking school an air of sophistication.

We will begin our adventure with a trip to the local market with our resident chef to help us select the freshest ingredients for our meal. The school’s kitchen is on the top floor of the building with cooking stations in one room and a classroom in another. Blue Elephant Cooking School is quite enjoyable because the chef will offer explanations before the class begins so we can really gain some valuable insights into Thai cuisine. We will be involved in the preparation and will sample the fruit of our labour.

The instructors are passionate about their work and enjoy educating others about Thai cuisine. The Blue Elephant Cooking School is part of the Blue Elephant Restaurant Bangkok.

Summary: 
Ready for an adventure? Join us for a small group excursion to Thailand’s northern region.
Depart Bangkok early morning on Sunday, Nov. 11. Fly to Chiang Mai, then transfer to the Akyra Manor luxury hotel. Spend 2 nights and 3 days exploring the Temples, spend a day with elephants, and learn to cook with a well-known local Chef. Return to Bangkok on Tuesday night, Nov. 13.

Highlights: Journey to the Enchanted Kingdom of Siam with one of the largest stage productions in the world

Timeframe: 16:30 - 22:00

Summary: Journey to the Enchanted Kingdom of Siam to see one of the largest stage productions in the world. Pick up from Centara Grand Hotel at 4:30pm. We will be transported to Siam Niramit, a state of the art theater which showcases one of the largest stage productions in the world. As part of the overall excursion, we will have the opportunity to participate in a number of different activities, including photography with elephants/performers, carnival games, an outdoor performance and of course, the Siam Niramit performance, considered Thailand's must-see show.

Ready to Book?

Once you have reviewed the activities and are ready to proceed with booking, please follow the steps below:

1. Click the 'Book Now' button listed below and fill out the appropriate information for all family members.

2. On the fourth step, select all the activities you would like to attend.

3. Once completed, ‘submit’ the form to book your reservation.






4. You will be contacted within 48 hours by our travel partner, Bliss Travel, with an invoice and link for payment (Credit Cards Only).

5. After payment has been confirmed, you will receive a service voucher confirming your reservation. Additional communications will be shared with you about each activity as we get closer to the dates of travel.
